Carolyn J. Newcome Sparks, Optometrist
Family Vision Care's senior doctor has spent
over 25 years with our practice. Dr. Newcome
Sparks has a Bachelor's Degree from the
University of Illinois and graduated from
the Illinois College of Optometry in 1981.
She specializes in contact lens fitting and
keratoconus patients. She enjoys spending
time with her family and pets. Her hobbies
are reading, gardening and crafts. |

Lynn Meyer, Optometrist
Dr. Meyer has a Bachelor's Degree from
Indiana University in Biology and a Graduate
Degree from Nova Southeastern University
College of Optometry in Ft. Lauderdale, FL.
She then completed a residency in Primary
Care / Ocular Disease at the Kansas City VA
Medical Center in 2001. She is experienced
in Lasik Co-Management, contact lens fitting
and ocular disease. Dr. Meyer practiced in
Indiana before joining Family Vision Care in
2006. She enjoys golfing and following the
Cubs and Indianapolis Colts. |

Jennifer Gula, O.D.
Dr. Gula received a Bachelor’s degree from
St. Xavier University in pre-medicine. After
9 years of providing direct patient care at
Palos Hospital’s CT department, she decided
to pursue a career in Optometry. She
graduated from Illinois College of Optometry
and specializes in Primary Care and Contact
Lenses. She enjoys spending time with her
dog, Sammie, and following the Cubs and
Bears. |

Kathy DeCarlo, CPOA, ABOC, Practice Administrator
Kathy has been with Family Vision Care since 1974. She loves working with patients and helping them select their eyewear. She is known for her own personal collection of eyeglasses! (she is up to 18 pairs to date). Kathy has 3 children and enjoys visiting Florida and spending time with her grandchildren there. She is a ferocious Bears and Cubs fan! |
